We all know that there is no such thing as the perfect inspector; people get tired and make mistakes Automated equipment relives much of the pressure of repetitive, error prone work allowing inspection the freedom to concentrate on quality assurance. Whist AWS quality policy is 'right first time', it is nonetheless important to validate the effectiveness of production controls through the use of batch and unit inspection schemes.
