| AWS Electronics: A British Success Story
AWS Electronics, a Contract Electronics Manufacturer (CEM),
is celebrating its most successful trading year ever, having
maintained 25% year-on-year growth for three years now since
the industry’s low point after the twin shocks in 2001
of the dot.com bust and the Twin Towers terrorist attacks. Moreover,
the company is not resting on its laurels but is actively planning,
investing, training and recruiting to maintain these rates of
growth for years to come.
Such growth can only come on solid foundations of excellent
relationships with their clients, the majority of whom have
been with AWS for over five years. Despite prevailing attitudes
in the country, they fear little from Eastern European and Far
Eastern competition as these cannot easily offer competing services.
AWS engineering support is local, being in the same time zone,
language and culture. Production and deliveries are very responsive
to fluctuating customers’ demands, and the attitude of
the entire workforce is can-do, problem solving and positive.
The way in which the company is organised is designed to assure
clients of dedicated, flexible and complete manufacturing services.
AWS is exhibiting at Nepcon
2005 (stand UK10) at the Metropole in Brighton 11th and
12th May and at Subcon
2005 (stand D29) at the NEC in Birmingham 24th to 26th May.
Visitors can look at AWS capabilities for manufacturing for
the military, aerospace, medical, rail and other demanding industries.
They will also be showing a small selection of other products
from their range of PCB assemblies, electrical and electronic
sub-assemblies and finished products, and cable and wiring harnesses.
The AWS stand will focus, however, on the value-added services
that they offer, such as design and production engineering,
parallel engineering with clients’ development teams,
prototype manufacturing, kitting, line-side delivery, after-sales
services such as repairs, refurbishment and upgrades, and obsolescence
management. If you have a product that may benefit from out-sourcing,
drop into the stand for a coffee and a chat. If your requirement
is urgent and you would like to discuss before the exhibition,
please call Mark
Howitt on 01782 753 200 ext. 244.
